Dr. Harvey Rosen received his dental and medical degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972 and 1973 respectively, and then continued on to complete general and plastic surgery residencies at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass. He served as Chief Resident in plastic surgery from 1979 to 1980 and then completed his surgical training with a fellowship in craniofacial surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia from 1980 to 1981. Dr. Rosen presently serves as Chief of plastic surgery at Pennsylvania Hospital, which is regarded as one of the top ten hospitals in the nation.
Dr. Rosen is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of multiple prestigious professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Plastic Surgery Research Council. A distinguished authority in the field of facial aesthetics, he has appeared on CNN and local medical news programs, and has the notable distinction of being repeatedly cited in the Best Doctors in America, a referral resource for other physicians.

Dear Dr. Rosen, I was at the beginning of this adventure with J a somewhat unwilling participant. But I knew that with J she was going to pursue her desires regardless. When we met with the other surgeons I was getting more and more determined to push her away from going through with it. Our visit with you was the last one we were going to make. After meeting with you I left the office with a different outlook, I said to J that there was something special about you; you had a genuine quality that made you stand out from the others. I also felt the same caring attitude from Jeannette and Jane. If I really was determined, I could have stopped J with going through with her decision; I saw her as my beautiful wife, flawless with no concern about the inevitable signs of growing old together.
