Oklahoma City and Tulsa-two of the fifty largest cities in the U.S., serve as Oklahoma's primary economic anchors, with nearly 60 percent of Oklahomans living in their metropolitan statistical areas. Oklahoma City, the state's capital and largest city, had the largest metropolitan area in the state. The Tulsa suburbs of Jenks, Bixby, and Owasso led the state in population growth. Some of Oklahoma's larger cities are: Norman, Lawton, Broken Arrow, Edmond, Midwest City and Enid.
