Arkansas-an Algonquin name of the Quapaw Indians, is located in the southern region of the U.S. and shares a border with six states. The Little Rock-North Little Rock-Pine Bluff Combined Metro Area is the largest in Arkansas.The Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers metropolitan area is increasingly important to the state and its economy, making it one of the fastest growing areas in the nation.
