Dr. Dan Matthews has practiced dentistry for over two decades, and has worked to provide excellence in dental care throughout his distinguished career. He earned his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, which has been ranked as the number one dental school in the country. He continued on to serving a hospital-based General Practice Residency at the Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital in San Antonio.

Dr. Matthews has practiced in Austin since 1997 and has been dedicated to continuing education throughout his practice, accumulating over 700 hours of postgraduate education and earning Fellowship in the American Academy of General Dentistry. He has served as both President and Vice President of the Rio Grande Valley Dental Society and his local chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as serving as a delegate to the Texas Dental Association and the American Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Matthews is a proud member of several professional groups, including the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Equilibration Society, and the Capital Area Dental Society. He is dedicated to humanitarian work and volunteers his time with a number of nonprofit organizations, including the Round Rock Health Clinic and "Christina's Smiles," charities providing complementary dental care for the disadvantaged, as well as "The Theo Project," a mobile dental office providing treatment and dental health education that travels to low-income schools.
