B is for Brazilian Buttock Lift - Body Contouring & Plastic Surgery

Recently I came across an article that stated, “J. Lo has done for the rear-end, what Pamela Anderson has done for the front-end.” Classic..and, so true. Over the past few years the female buttocks have received some serious notoriety; and it seems to be all about the size…the bigger, the better? I say, that’s personal a preference, but, may seem to disagree.

Over time, our bodies change; whether it is child birth, the loss or gain of weight or simply the natural ageing process. Nonetheless, it can leave ones’ derriere in a not-so-appealing state. Many women are unhappy with the change in shape, sagginess or cellulite of their behinds. This is when the Brazilian buttock lift may be the answer.

First and foremost, a Brazilian buttock augmentation is NOT strictly about getting a big butt! This enhancement procedure is designed to remove excess skin or fat from the buttocks, resulting in a firm and higher set of buttocks. There are several additions or variations that can be performed in conjunction with a buttock lift.

  • Liposuction is sometimes done in accordance with this type of augmentation, treating cellulite and / or stretch marks after child birth or major weight loss.
  • Can be performed in conjunction with other bariatric, or weight loss surgery such as a thigh lift (thighplasty) or tummy tuck (abdominoplasty).
  • Total buttock enhancement would be the addition of butt implants; referred to as ‘gluteal augmentation’ helping to shape and define the buttocks.

One of the newer and more progressive procedures to the Brazilian butt lift removes unwanted fat from areas of your body; the fat is processed, and then re-injected into your buttocks. Some of the top cosmetic surgeons specializing in this technique use special fat grafting techniques; which means the fat transfer to the top of your buttocks is permanent!

Here’s something positive to consider; by utilizing this fat transfer method, you have less chance of infection and probably more enticing to women reading this…you will have flatter more taught areas on your body where the liposuction is performed for the fat transfer. The most common areas lipo’ed are the the lower back, stomach or thighs.

To ensure the permanence of this cosmetic surgery procedure, you cannot sit directly on your buttocks for 3 weeks! A small price to pay for your very own voluptuous “J. Lo.” It is also necessary for you to wear a special swelling-reduction garment. After four weeks, you should be able to return to your usual lifestyle once again. Obviously, this is something that you should seriously consider before going ahead and racing to the derriere doctor. If serious, you should be sure to consult a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss what is best for you and your body type.

As you can see, this type of Brazilian butt lift technique is more than just a big butt, it is body contouring leaving you with a smooth, taught, younger looking posterior region. With a four week recovery, you will be ready for those juicy running pants in no time!
