Questions to Ask in Your Plastic Surgeon Interview
- Are you a board certified plastic surgeon that is Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or American Society of Plastic Surgeons?
- How many procedures like mine have you performed in the past?
- Are you familiar with the latest technologies? Please explain the last MLE technology course you attended.
- Can I see some before and after photos?
- Can you give me names of former patients that I can contact?
- Are there potential compications to the procedure?
- What type of anesthesia will be required for my plastic surgery procedure?
- What is the recovery time?
- How much will everything cost out the door. Please explain to me the individual costs using an itemized list.
Remember, you are the one in the drivers seat. There are talented plastic surgeons out there, you just need to find the one that is right for you. Find the one that is right for your procedure by engaging them in an interview to answer your questions and to get to know the surgeon personally. Best of luck to you in your decision making process!
